The black seahorse is one of the hardiest seahorses around. Although they can be kept in reef
aquariums, we do not recommend them for all reefs as LPS corals and anemones can kill these
seahorses. Keeping them in softie reef aquariums with other seahorses is acceptable. We
recommend that you directly feed a mixture of live brine, live mysis, frozen brine and mysis
and live ghost shrimps dosed with a vitamin additive such as H2O Life GVH Fish Food Soak. Due
to its level of difficulty, this species is excluded from ReefPlayground's live stock
guarantee.
